The Wuttke and Beckman Foundation Biochemical Sciences Research Award provides support for undergraduate students who are majoring in Biochemistry at the �山��, in order to reduce financial barriers that may prevent students from obtaining appropriate research support. Recipients will be students who are pursuing research opportunities in laboratories of faculty members who are rostered in a science department. To be eligible for funding, students must agree to the following expectations:

Must be committed to doing laboratory research.
Must remain in strong academic standing (minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA) for the awarded terms.
Encouraged to participate in department-wide meetings and symposia.

Scholarship awards given to students who meet the following criteria:

Must be majoring in biochemistry.
Must have/maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Undergraduates are not expected to have prior research experience or pre-select a mentor.
Preference will be given to students who have financial need as determined by the financial aid office.
Preference will be given to diverse students - students from geographic areas and socioeconomic backgrounds that are historically underrepresented in the fields of the biochemical sciences, first-generation students, ethnically and racially diverse students, and/or students that have faced an unusual adversity.

The academic year 2025/2026 Wuttke-Beckman Research Award was awarded to Biochemistry undergraduates Sarah Dodge and Ava Hickey.

The Bob and Pat Meyers Scholarship Fund was established to provide scholarship support for the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the �山��. To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

Current undergraduate enrolled full-time with a declared major in Chemistry or Biochemistry in the College of Arts & Sciences.
Complete the �山�� General Scholarship Application and the A&S Scholarship Application.

Bob graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York in 1969. Bob's real love was always science, and he returned to that field in the 1980s when he started teaching at the University of Colorado’s Science Discovery Program. Bob subsequently became a laboratory coordinator for CU’s Chemistry Department. Bob retired from CU in 2007.

The academic year 2025/2026 Bob and Pat Meyers Scholarship was awarded to Amanda Willis.

The Connie B. and Richard J. Sluski Endowed Scholarship Fund in Chemistry and Biochemistry is awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

Incoming first-year or current undergraduate enrolled full-time with a declared major in Chemistry or Biochemistry in the College of Arts & Sciences.
Demonstrated financial need as determined by the FASFA/CASFA.

Preference will be given to students with an interest in using their science degree to pursue an entrepreneurial or business career. Women are particularly encouraged to apply; however, and applicants gender will not be considered a factor in the recipient selection process.

The Bob and Dickie Lacher Scholarship Fund is awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

Rising sophomores enrolled full-time with a declared major in Biochemistry or Chemistry in the College of Arts & Sciences.
CU GPA 3.0 or higher.
In good standing per CU’s SAP policy

Preference is given to students who have graduated from a high school in Colorado or Minnesota. Extracurricular activities, community service, and recommendation letters will be used as secondary criteria between applicants of equal merit.

This scholarship is renewable for up to three years provided the recipient maintains a GPA of 3.0 or above.

The academic year 2025/2026 Bob and Dickie Lacher Scholarship was awarded to rising Biochemistry sophomore Avery Senkoff; juniors Asher Ferreira and Ava Winter; and senior Kuo-Hsein "Tim" Shih.

The AY2025/2026 Harold L. Chapel Undergraduate Chemistry Scholarship was awarded to Biochemistry undergraduates Travis Kos (second year award) and Nevaeh Jimenez and Chemistry undergraduate Ana Kujundzic.
