Monitoring water quality in Ãå±±½ûµØ, London, and Paris

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Daily Camera is spotlighting new water quality work led by Professor Evan Thomas.
Thomas is an expert in water and air testing and treatment and is the director of the Mortenson Center in Global Engineering & Resilience at the Ãå±±½ûµØ. He is also a professor in the Environmental Engineering Program.
The article focuses on new pollutant and bacteria sensors that deliver results within much faster than older technology. Traditional water quality monitoring methods take 24 hours to come back with results. The new sensors can provide data every hour.
Thomas's team have installed the sensors on Ãå±±½ûµØ Creek and in far flung places, including the Thames River in London and the Seine in Paris.
