Holly Gates-Mayer is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) at the Ãå±±½ûµØ, where she is responsible for leading the EH&S team, which is responsible for providing comprehensive safety services and support for the Ãå±±½ûµØ campus. ÌýService areas include but are not limited to: Hazardous Materials and Waste Management, Chemical and Laboratory Safety, Radiation Safety, Laser Safety, Biosafety, Environmental Compliance, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Asbestos and Lead Management, and 24/7 On-call Emergency Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents.Ìý

Prior to being promoted, Holly served as the Director for Research Safety and Support in EH&S. She joined Ãå±±½ûµØ in 2012 as the campus Biosafety Officer. Before joining Ãå±±½ûµØ, she worked at the University of Idaho in the Environmental Health and Safety Office as an Industrial Hygienist and Biosafety Officer.

Holly has a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management/Fisheries from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Science degree in ÌýMolecular Biology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry from the University of Idaho. Her interests include hiking, traveling, her houseful of dogs and cats, reading, and spending time with family.
