The Office of Graduate Access and Retention, housed within the Graduate School, manages an array of programs at the Ãå±±½ûµØ campus that promote inclusivity in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.Ìý

This office supports undergraduate students in their journey toward graduate education, provides learning and mentoring opportunities for graduate students, and offers broader impact research support for faculty and staff by:

  • providing institutional and national data to meet solicitation guidelines; and
  • assisting in preparing a targeted plan to recruit and retain underrepresented STEM PhD students through CDI programs:
    • SMART, 10-week summer internship that prepares undergraduates for PhD study
    • Colorado Advantage graduate preview recruiting weekend
    • Diversity fellowships for admitted STEM PhD applicants as incentive to enroll
    • Mentoring and professional development opportunities for STEM doctoral students
