- Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Development and Support Suzanne Soled will be retiring effective June 1, as she looks ahead to her next chapter beyond Ãå±±½ûµØ.
- The Office of Faculty Affairs is excited to announce Burke Hilsabeck's appointment as the new director of faculty relations, effective June 1.
- Bethany Ehlmann has been named the director of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics at Ãå±±½ûµØ. LASP's mission is to advance scientific discovery and inspire the next generation through forefront research, innovation and education.
- The Ãå±±½ûµØ Police Department will welcome Ashley Griffin as its new chief of police. The public safety leader comes from the University of Texas at Austin and will begin on July 1.
- As executive director of the SRI, Zelikova will work closely with Vice Chancellor for Sustainability Andrew Mayock and engage with Ãå±±½ûµØâ€™s vibrant sustainability community to guide the nascent initiative’s strategic direction to align with the university's overall sustainability research objectives.
- Professor Fernando Rosario-Ortiz will become the vice chancellor for academic resource management on April 1. He currently is the interim dean of the School of Education.

- Shanti Simon, who's held flight commander and conductor positions with the United States Air Force in Colorado Springs and Washington, D.C., will join the Ãå±±½ûµØ College of Music as director of bands.
- At the end of 2024, Ãå±±½ûµØ Distinguished Professor Daniel Baker stepped down as the director of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP), a position he held since 1994.
